Admission Requirements
  • First degree in Bachelor of Arts/Science or degree certificates in Economics, Business Administration or Social Science with Economics, equivalent to a 3,5 years German Bachelor degree (210 ECTS).
  • Applicants with a degree from Europe are expected to have at least 60 ECTS in Economics and Business Administration, with a minimum of 15 ECTS in Economics 
  • International Applicants should have at least 12 Economics and Business Administration classes, thereof at least 3 classes in Economics which must be equivalent to the ECTS mentioned above (the equivalence will be decided upon by admission committee) 
  • First degree applicants with an equivalence of 180 ECTS ( that is, 3 years Bachelor degree) must either have a year additional professional experience or obtain 30 ECTS during the studies at HTW (which would make studies one more semester longer)
  • Provision of proficiency in English language -``TOEFL paper based: 580 points; computer based: 237 points; internet based: 96 points; IELTS grade 7.0, additional comparable certificates as listed on the webpage of the programme.``

Supporting Documents

  • motivation letter. 
  • certified copies of degree certificates and transcripts (If they are not not in English or German they should be translated into either German or English).
  • university grading system should be explained if not included in the transcript. 
  • 2 recommendation letters to include at least one academic reference. 
  • a CV or résumé. 
  • a passport copy.
  • evidence of English language proficiency.
  • two passport photos
  • summary of the undergraduate/postgraduate thesis ( in 2 pages)
  • If you are from a developing country and wish to apply for DAAD scholarship, you should submit DAAD application form with a 2 years proof of professional experience.

Expenses
  • Tuition fee
    • Fee for the duration of the 3 semester (18-month) programme is 2.000€, which could be payed in two instalments.
  • Semester Fee
    • Semester fee must be payed by students before the start of each semester; this will cover public transport ticket in Berlin, administration fee and contribution to Studentenwerk and ASTA (student Union fee).
Apart from the above, monthly living expenses in Berlin is between 650 to 850€.
