Secrets of Permanent Residence Permit For Foreign Students In South Africa

The Home Affairs Minister, South Africa, announced last weekend of the country's intention to start giving permanent residence permit to international students in critical skilled areas once they graduate from the South African institutions.

According to him, this "measure is to ensure that South Africa benefits from all of the skills produced by its universities, and to make it easier for international students who want to work or start business in South Africa after graduation to do so."

Base on the post South  Africa To Start Giving Permanent  Residence To Foreign Students After Graduation,  we have been recieving some private messages from our readers asking for the requirements to be qualified for the permanent residence permit and we hope this little post will help.

 It should be noted that emphasis is made on the category of students with critical skills who can contribute meaningfully to the country's "achievement of the National Development National Infrastructure Project, the Strategic Infrastructure Projects and Key National Strategic Projects in support of the Department of Trade and Industry."

According to the South Africa immigration, "applicant for a permanent residency permit must first submit representation to the Minister of Home Affairs motivating why he or she should be declared not to be a prohibited person or an undesirable person." This means, you must be a criminal, drug adict, a carrier of infectious diseases etc.

To be able to apply for South African permanent residence permit as a foreigner after graduation you must have;
