The scholarships are for the qualified students with a first university degree (bachelor or equivalent) who wish to contribute to the

- € 861 per month for Master' programs.
- Health insurance cover in Germany
- Appropriate travel allowances for travel between Germany and the developing countries in question and Germany

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must have:

- A Bachelor degree or its equivalent with above average results.
- Previous degree certificate must not be older than 6 years.
- Applicants applying from Germany will not be considered if you have stayed in the country for more than 15 months.
- Good knowledge of English Language
- Strong Motivation toward political and social engagement.

NOTE: Each Master course has its specific requirements for admission and candidates must indicate that they are applying for the DAAD Helmut Schmidt-Program (master’s scholarships in Public Policy and
Good Governance)! candidate are allowed to apply for two courses.
